Welcome to Acacia Hill School
Acacia Hill School caters for students from 3 to 18 years of age with an intellectual impairment or with multiple complex disabilities in the Central Australian region. Eligibility for a place and the process for enrolling a student at Acacia Hill School is outlined in the Enrolment in Special Schools and Special Centres Guidelines and also depends on an appropriate class placement being available.
Acacia Hill School comprises a ‘base school’ and seven satellite classes in mainstream schools in Alice Springs. The purpose of satellite classes is to support students transitioning to full participation in mainstream classes.
Acacia Hill School currently has approximately 90 students. Classes have 5 – 8 students with a teacher and a special education support assistant. All students have an educational adjustment plan with goals specific to each student.
